I  went to a seminar about a month ago now, presented by author/researcher Phillip Day about his top 20 ‘great discoveries in health‘. It was really mind opening & for the past month I’ve been thinking over what I absorbed & finding parallels come up time & again in my own reading/researching. Phillip knows what he’s talking about & I thought it was about time I summarised my notes from the seminar to share with you. I hope you find some of these ideas as interesting and thought provoking as I do.

// NOTEWORTHY //

• Get educated. Ask the hard questions.

• Vote for change. Knowledge is not action.

• Why can’t we get on top of diseases that we have cured for decades in livestock & agriculture?

• Do anything for 30 days & we can change habits / override the subsconscious mind.

• Take responsibility for health, nutrition, lifestyle. Make better choices.

• Health system is failing us on a basic level.

• We’re doing something fundamentally wrong as a society.

• Medicines don’t “cure” disease.

• We need to look at what is on our dinner plate.

The cure for cancer is our IMMUNE SYSTEM.

• When unwell ~ the right question to ask ourselves “why did my immune system not deal with this?“. Our health system ~ we are medicated instead of being told what we can do for ourselves. Again, take responsibility.

•  Sectors most vulnerable in society: children & the elderly.

• Natural law “don’t poison yourself

• Our cells are made out of FOOD. No one knows exactly how they work. Made from proteins/carbs/fats/sugars/enzymes/hormones/minerals.

• We should eat foods as they appear in nature. Foods that haven’t been ‘messed’ with.

• A ‘living foods’ diet has proven to cure type 2 diabetes in 5-7 days. 100% plant foods. No cooking. No meat/dairy.

• Things that WEAKEN our immune system ~ stress, dehydration, poor diet, toxins, high fat, cooked food, medicine, radiation.

• Immune boosters ~ low stress/happiness, a majorly plant based diet, exercise, rest, optimum vitamin D, low toxin environment

• We can make simple changes ~ doesn’t have to be the new ‘wonder drug’.

• Magnesium oxide, vitamin D & E – help epilepsy.

• We are going through an ‘elimination’ cycle from 4am – 12 noon. Recommends raw whole fruits until noon

• Therapeutic nutrition ~ food can fix you.

• Gerson therapy for cancer.

• Alkalize diet.

• Water & salt {pure, unbleached, celtic sea salt/himalayan salt} heal. Salt is a natural hypnotic. If having trouble sleeping, dissolve a little on tongue before bed.

• Reverse osmosis water filters recommended.

• Vitamin C ~ doesn’t survive cooking. Anti toxin. Antioxidant. Collagen. Intravenous C has been used to help cancer & swine flu cases.

• Vitamin D & B17 very important.

• Reduce stress ~ disconnect. Look at what we do for entertainment. Change geographical location. Happiness is a choice.

• Mind exists. Our mind/thoughts are powerful.

• We need to look at our worldview.

• We have the right to choose. The right to get involved.

    LOVE! Such fabulous advice and resources. I am going to spend a couple of hours reading through the sites you linked to. I have just been diagnosed with a hormonal imbalance, and I am so interested in how food/the environment has such a dramatic effect on our health.

    Thanks for sharing this, Nikki. Could you expand on the points you made about immune systems being the cure for cancer and the ‘elimination cycle’ as I’m interested in learning more, but don’t quite understand what the background is.
